Good Manners Program for Day Care and After School Programs |
Tadpole Dreams, the good manners program for children that is sweeping the nation, is now available for summer camps and daycare programs. The popular good manners course is fun, easy to teach and perfect for children ages 6 to 14.
(PRWEB) April 21, 2005 -- The Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation will offer the program as one of its premier specialty camps along with several other summer camps and daycare programs.
Tadpole Dreams is guaranteed to make your children more successful in their relationships with adults, friends and family by showing how good manners DO make a difference! Games, crafts, and activities will emphasize the importance of good manners including interview skills, telephone manners, thank you notes, table manners and much more. “We reviewed the program this summer and thought it had merit,” said Maureen Moran, branch chief of the office of academic policy for the Maryland State Board of Education. “Tadpole Dreams is a great resource for teachers, guidance counselors and other youth leaders.”
Several middle schools and day camps have put the program to good use. “Our teachers are having a great time with Tadpole Dreams, “said Laura Kang, middle school head at Severn School in Severna Park. “The children are enjoying it as well. It’s a great way to emphasize the positive aspects benefits of good manners and civility.”
The manners program is perfect for scouting, after-school enrichment programs, camps, and other programs for youngsters. The program combines a child-friendly, lighthearted 48-page good manners handbook and a curriculum containing more than 50 games, crafts and activities designed to accompany each section. Each section can be purchased separately online at www.tadpoledreams.org or the entire program can be purchased in hard copy as well.
Written and taught by professional middle school educators, Tadpole Dreams has been used successfully in every socio-economic environment imaginable from city housing projects to elite summer camps.
